SponsoredAsk Two Fantasy Experts How To Improve Your Week 11 LineupsStudio@Gawker11/17/13 11:59am1462EditPromoteShare to KinjaGo to permalink [Update: comments are now closed.] I'm Micah James, the Fantasy Football MagicMan. Thanks to the good people at State Farm®, I’m here in the comments with one of the smartest pro football guys around, Russell S. Baxter, the Pro Football Guru, to help you double check your fantasy lineups so you can notch another win and move closer to your league’s playoffs. Advertisement Here are a few of our thoughts on some intriguing matchups and players happening in week 11:The Lions travel to Pittsburgh and face one of the best real-life defenses, but will that dampen players such as Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, and Reggie Bush? Maybe slightly, but I will have no hesitation putting my Lions in the starting lineup. (And watch for Joseph Fauria to be an active red zone target, which is always good for fantasy owners!) Fortunately for Stafford and company, this is a Steelers defense that has been struggling to get after the quarterback and totaled only five takeaways in their first seven games this season. Advertisement San Francisco journeys to New Orleans for the second straight season – recall that last year, Colin Kaepernick (making his second start after replacing Alex Smith) led the 49ers to a 31-21 victory in the Superdome and finished as the #7 QB for the week. Both teams are playoff contenders this season, and while both defenses are stout, expect the offenses to rule the day this week. After eight weeks of play, the Saints ranked fifth and the Niners sixth in the league in points per game.Of course, the most anticipated game of the week features the Kansas City Chiefs traveling to Denver to face Peyton Manning and the Broncos’ offensive arsenal. The Chiefs’ defense has not allowed a team to score more than 17 points in a game all season, but the Broncos have scored at least 33 points in every game. Something’s gotta give here, and this week it will be the Chiefs. Look for Manning and company to keep on keeping on, setting up a juicy rematch at Arrowhead Stadium two weeks from now.Speaking of two weeks from now, make sure you mark your calendars because Russell and I will be doing this all over again on December 1. For now, ask us how to help you double check your week 11 lineups in the comments section below.
