In the upcoming HBO original movie Fahrenheit 451, Michael B. Jordan plays Guy Montag, a “fireman” in charge of burning books in a dark dystopian vision of our future. We have a long and scary tradition of burning and banning books, often for completely ridiculous reasons.
How well do you know our censorship history? Take our quiz to see if you can guess why these classic books were banned. And remember to tune in to HBO’s original movie Fahrenheit 451 on Saturday, May 19 at 8pm to see what could happen when a censor-happy society spins out of control.
